Lawrence is a registered psychologist and PsyBA approved supervisor and has been the director of the College of Professional Psychology since 2007.  Over this time, he has steered the College through the complex and dynamic regulatory landscapes of psychologist registration in Australia.  From its origins as a purely Sydney based program, the College now offers the most comprehensive,  structured and supportive psychologist registration program in Australia, with interns and graduates nationally in a range of psychology workplace roles.

Lawrence’s career as psychologist spans over 25 years with a broad and diverse portfolio of experience reflecting his varied interests.  This includes consulting to organisations and executives internationally in the areas of performance enhancement, strategic change leadership and intercultural issues.  He also has an interest in alternative dispute resolution and specialises in mediating workplace disputes.

Currently he divides his worklife between his role at the College, his clinical and consulting practices and voluntary activities within the profession and the community.

Mark is a registered Organisational Psychologist and the Principal Psychologist at MarkPsych. As a hypnotherapist, Mark offers anxiety relief to distressed clients, with an emphasis on organisational aspects.  Mark is a retired CPA with extensive experience in regulatory organisations. He has served on many psychology related committees through the APS, and since 2019 has been an external advisor on the UWS Psychology Undergraduate and Postgraduate Curriculum Panels.

Mark has authored a range of publications in Psychology, for government, journal, conference proceedings and documentaries.  

Jagdish has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Sydney and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and a Fellow of the College of Health Psychology.

Jagdish was an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of New England in Armidale, New South Wales. He specialises in Behaviour Therapy in general and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Stress in particular. He has published widely in National and International Journals and has presented papers at National and International Conferences. During his tenure at the University of New England, he held a range of senior academic and administrative leadership positions.

Since leaving the University at Armidale, Jagdish has been practising as a psychologist in his private practice.

Grenville completed a PhD in psychology in 1992 with a special interest in perception. This interest led to a PhD scholarship in the development of food preferences which was awarded in 2000. This in turn led to work in the commercial market research in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Sector from 1997-2003 working with corporate clients such as Kellogg’s, Coca Cola, Woolworths and Jim Beam, with full responsibility for approximately $1 million of research per annum. Leaving that work behind in 2003 Grenville studied to become a registered psychologist while conducting research at the University of Sydney and counselling at Hepatitis NSW and South Pacific Private Hospital, becoming registered in 2005. In 2007 Grenville started working in research and evaluation in mental health community-managed organisations (CMOs) and became a board accredited supervisor in 2008. Grenville has subsequently supervised a number of provisional psychologists in a variety of backgrounds including those working in CMOs. Grenville is a practice supervisor and associate fellow at Macquarie University and an adjunct lecturer at UNSW. Grenville’s board experience includes 8 years on the board of Hepatitis NSW, 5 years as President and current member of the Hepatitis C board subcommittee of the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine. Grenville thus brings broad commercial, academic and community sector knowledge to the academic board of the College of Professional Psychology.

Assoc. Prof. Lil Vrklevski B.A (Hons);LLB; MClinPsych; MBA; Dip.Grad.Research; PhD; MAPS; FCCLP; MACPA; GAICD is the Principal Clinical Psychologist and Director of Psychology, Sydney Local Health District. Lil has over 30 years’ experience in law and clinical psychology. She has worked clinically in the areas of sexual violence and mental health. Lil is particularly interested in the relationship between the legal and mental health systems as well as the impact of trauma work on professionals.

Her research has been in the areas of vicarious trauma, root cause analysis, professional identity and professional roles, as well as the role of allied health in public mental health services. Lil developed the Vicarious Trauma Scale (VTS), a brief screening instrument for VT. Lil is a reviewer on Traumatology, The Journal of Patient Safety, International Journal of Psychiatry in Clinical Practice, Australasian Psychiatry and sits on the CRGH Human Research Ethics Committee as well as the NSW Psychology Board. Lil is a clinical associate professor with ACU, clinical associate with the Departments of Psychology at USyd, UTS, WSU, Adjunct Fellow with MQ, UoW, lecturer at COPP and UNSW and casual academic with The Australian Institute of Health Service Management (AIHSM) UTAS. She sits on the Industry Advisory Boards with The Schools of Psychology at ACU, UNSW, USyd, and UTS, as well as the Academic Board of COPP. Lil is co-chair of the ACI Violence Abuse and Neglect Executive Committee. Lil is a thesis examiner with ACU and MQ Universities and clinically supervises provisionally registered psychologists and clinical psychology registrars from a number of universities, as well as lecturing on law and ethics for psychologists.

Responsible for overseeing the business and financial operations of the College. Marea joined the College in 2016 in the role of Business Manager. Her business career commenced in chartered accountancy and from there she has continued her experience across a broad range of industries. Having initially studied accounting at TAFE, Marea obtained her business degree from Monash University, and subsequently her CPA  qualification. 

Alison brings over two decades of clinical psychology experience, complemented by a robust
research background. Her journey includes a PhD that explored the effects of postnatal
depression on both mothers and infants. She has also made significant contributions to
various research projects, particularly in perinatal mental health and the realm of first
episode psychosis.

Alison’s association with The College of Professional Psychology dates back to 2010, where
she initially served as a supervisor. Over the years, she transitioned into a multifaceted role,
actively contributing to the evolution of our state-based program into a nationwide
registration program. Her involvement extends to teaching professional development
workshops, shaping curriculum and program design, and offering unwavering support to our
students and supervisors. Alison describes her role at the College as a “wonderful way to be
part of the growth and development of new psychologists within an exciting and vibrant
educational institution.”

Jethro Laungayan is the IT Administrator with a background in Information Technology. Currently working at College of Professional Psychology, he manages the college IT infrastructure. Jethro Laungayan holds a Degree in Information Technology (Network Security) from Northern Sydney Institute (TAFE).
