You don't always need the whole bundle. If you already have workplace supervision or training in place, or you're building your pathway piece by piece, COPP's standalone registration packages let you add to your 5+1 internship with the specific support you need — and nothing you don't. Choose one component, or combine a few, and pair them with the rest of your year however it suits you.

Not everyone wants the full National 5+1 Program. Standalone packages are designed for psychologists who want to take just the components that fit their situation. They suit you if you are:
We are an educator, not a regulator. Whether and how you achieve general registration is determined by the Psychology Board of Australia. Our packages help you prepare and build current competence in a clear, supported way — they are not a credential or a qualifying step in themselves.
Each package stands on its own and links to its own page with the full detail. Take one, take two, or combine all three — every package also includes access to our PALS (Placement & Learning Support) team for the journey.

Standalone packages are about flexibility. Take a single component to fill a gap, combine a couple to cover more of your year, or move to the full National 5+1 Program when you'd rather have everything handled in one place.
If your education and training needs the most attention, start with Learning Essentials. If you need Board-approved supervisors and supervision hours, choose the Expert Supervision Package. If the exam is your immediate focus, the NPE Boot Camp is built for that. Not sure? Our team will help you match packages to where you are — and if you'd rather not piece it together, the full National 5+1 Program brings education, supervision and exam preparation into one pathway.
“I returned to university as a single working adult looking for new opportunities. After a very difficult bridging year into honours, I wasn’t sure about my options. I found the College of Professional Psychology by chance, and I was surprised by what an excellent alternative this was to more coursework. I personally felt that working full-time as a 5+1 Intern was much more challenging and rewarding than other pathways were.”
“I definitely would recommend anyone considering a 4+2 or 5+1 internship to get in touch with COPP and to complete the internship through them. The College guided me through every step of the journey. I recall attending a COPP information session and towards the end, Lawrence mentioned to think of the internship like hiking a tough mountain for the first time, you can either hike it alone, or you can go with an experienced team of hikers that has completed the journey countless times, ensuring that you get to your goal as quickly and smoothly as possible, while avoiding all the pitfalls. That is exactly what the College did for myself.”
“I could not have been happier with my decision joining COPP during my final yet most daunting step of the 6th year of internship. With COPP, I was not only able to fulfil all my requirements with AHPRA such as supervision and professional development workshops within the year to qualify as a registered psychologist, but also met amazing supervisors and peers along the way, which I realise is so important when you are registered in the psychology world for your lifetime learning and companionships. COPP was there every step of the way, from the very beginning assisting you with the internship plan to preparing your case report and National Psychology Examination.”
“I am originally from Scotland so trying to navigate pursuing a career in Australia posed many daunting and challenging hurdles. When I stumbled upon the 4+2 registration pathway offered by COPP, I was sold immediately. COPP offers everything you need to become a fully registered psychologist and I cannot speak highly enough about the program and staff, nor imagine doing it without them! COPP are affordable, supportive, attentive, and they remove all the stress out of the process by providing all professional development hours, supervision and training needed to qualify.”
“I had a very positive experience at COPP: I would like to take this opportunity to thank COPP as a whole, each encounter I had with The College was always positive and helpful. In particular, toward the end of my internship I received extensive and individualised support to ensure that all my tasks were completed with constructive feedback. Lastly, to the supervisors I had, I cannot thank them enough for their ongoing guidance and genuine assistance in helping me to become registered as a Psychologist.”
“The College of Professional Psychology made what seemed an incredibly daunting process a simple one. Every component was structured and well thought out. The most important part for me was knowing that I had someone to call when I had a question about anything to do with the registration process. I truly felt that I had support from a dedicated team who also knew me personally. I would recommend The College of Professional Psychology to anyone looking at a pathway towards full registration.”
