INSTRUCTORS, PRACTICUM LEADERS AND SUPERVISORS Lawrence Fong - Director BA(Wits); H Dip Pers Mgt; M Comm (Sydney); MAPS; Registered Psychologist Lawrence is a Director of Synergise Associates, an organisational psychology consultancy. He is a psychologist, accredited mediator and trainer with over 20 years Australian and international experience. He has consulted to a range of public and private organistions including eduction, information technology, finance, manufacturing, sport, hospitality and tourism, energy, and legal services. Prior to establishing his own consultancy, he held senior human resources roles in the information technology and insurance industries.
Valerie McCallum B Sc (Applied Psychology); Dip Pers Admin; CertTchg; MAPS; MAITD; Registered Psychologist Valerie was Principal of the College from 1996 through 2000. She has held senior management and academic positions at the University of New South Wales for many years, lecturing at post-graduate level and holding Directorships of several of the University companies. She has designed and conducted courses in Human Resource Management for senior academic and professional managers at various universities in Australia, Canada, USA and New Zealand. She has also worked as part time lecturer and counsellor at Sydney Business Centre assisting managers and professionals on outplacement in their search for a new career. Valerie has brought to the College, long and varied experience in human resources management. Her major interests are in staff recruitment and selection, professional development and counselling.
Pamela Frances Bell BA Hons, PhD., MAPS, Registered Psychologist Formerly Head of School and Professor of Nursing at Charles Sturt University, Pam is now an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Technology, Sydney where she has been nominated for the position of Adjunct Professor. With a PhD from the Department of Psychology at Wollongong University, she has focused on the area of teaching health professionals in the psychology of health in addition to being a successful researcher. Her clinical counselling interest is Cognative Behavior Therapy. She also has a special interest in the mind-body connection (psycho neuro immunology) and cancer and is a popular invited speaker at workshops and seminars.
Gil Christie B Sc (Hons) Edinburgh; MAPS; AFBPsS; Registered Psychologist NSW & Vic; Chartered Psychologist UK Currently Director of his own firm of organisational psychologists, Christie Consulting Pty. Ltd whose clients include a diverse group of companies ranging from multi-nationals to independent businesses. Gil began his career as a psychologist in British Airways. On migrating to Australia, he worked as Manager Human Resources for a large manufacturing organisation before establishing Christie Consulting in 1982.

Christine Carberry B Bus Kuring-gai College of Advanced Education; Training of Trainers Certificate Since 1993, Christine has been Financial Manager, Quality Manager, and East Timor Program Manager with the Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific (AFAP). Prior to AFAP, she was a Project Manager in a telecommunications company in Sydney working on projects in Indonesia, Burma, Vietnam and Hong Kong. She is a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, and the ACFOA (Australian Council for Overseas Aid) Code of Conduct Committee. She is a Justice of the Peace in NSW.
Bruce
Crowe BA; MA (Hons 1); Manchester Business School; PhD Qualifying Course MAPS; Associate Fellow BPS; Chartered Psychologist UK; CMARI; CMIMC; MIAAP; Registered Psychologist. Bruce manages his own personnel consultancy, Bruce Crowe (Personnel Consultants) Pty. Ltd., as a Psychologist and Management Consultant. He began practising Psychology in 1960 and after a period in the R.A.A.F, held management position in major organizations in Australia, the UK and Europe. Bruce is a recent President (2 terms) of the Australian Psychological Society.
Stephen
Barron B.Soc Sci; MA (Psych); M.Crim; Grad Dip Clinical Hypnosis; Grad Dip Applied Management (Policing); MAPS; MASH; Registered Psychologist. Stephen was seconded to Charles Sturt University as a Lecturer (Level B) in Investigations training and is in the final months of his Doctor of Psychology (Forensic) at Charles Sturt University (2005). He has been registered as a psychologist since 1997 and teaches and works with a range of clincial, forensic and organisational settings. He is a member of the NSW Executive of the Australian Society of Hypnosis and presents workshops throughout Australia in Arson Investigation, Behavioural Analysis, Court Presentation and Suicidology. He is a member of a range of professional organisations within Australia and the United States.
Ian
Trevallion B.Sc.(Psych)Hons; MAPS; MAITD; Registered Psychologist. Ian is an experienced and qualified Psychologist specialising in vocational and psychological assessments, management and staff training for industry, pain management, stress management programs, and employee selection, appraisal and counselling. He has worked as a Psychologist, consultant and trainer for various Federal and State Government Departments, private industry and community organisations.
Linda
Petrea Williamson BEc; MA (Psychology); Grad Cert Applied Science (Coaching Psychology); Grad Cert Adult Education (Training); AIMM; GAICD; Registered Psychologist. Linda was an inaugural student of the College and after several years in human resources went on to hold several executive management roles in the areas of organisation development, strategic planning and corporate services. As a coaching psychologist and experenced facilitator/trainer Linda consults to organisations in organisationa development and change management - her experience includes organisation cultural change, business process reviews, systems implementation, leadership development, strategy development, team restructures and outplacement services. Linda is a qualified company director and an accredited mediator.
